What do I do to move things along if he likes me?

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
In spring of 05 I met a guy on my way to math toward the beginning of the semester in college. I came up to a steep ramp and asked him if he'd wheel me up it and he said "no problem darlin where ya goin?" and he even offered to wheel me to the class but I saw I was late so I figured he was too and I didn't want to cause him to be even later so I stupidly said no. Then after that day, I'd pass him once in awhile and he'd always say: "hey honey" "hey baby" "hey sweetie" "hey sweetheart". Then I never saw him again. Didn't know his name, nothing and never ever thought I'd see him again. I found out when I just saw him this week, that my friend has known him for years and knew him back when I bumped into him, but considering describing him is just like describing a ton of guys, she never caught on because I didn't even know his name. As soon as I went in (this past week) I saw him and he said "hey sweetheart" and I was so stunned that I saw him and he recognized me, I didn't know what to say so I just said "hey". I found out he has a girlfriend for about 2 years but he's a big flirt and they don't seem so serious. He was up by the bar/stage with the other guitarist while my friend is on a break and he asked "what do we gotta do to get you guys to sing?". I replied "sing Daughtry" (which is my favorite band) to him and he turned to his friend who was up performing with him and said "do you know It's Not Over?" and the guy said no but it's ok. During the performances, he would look at me and smile cuz i was singing every song and he even sang a line or 2 to me LOL. OF COURSE after I leave he sang "If You Could Only See" and I heard it from outside and I was about to climb the steps to see him do it. My friend will be singing with him a lot all summer. Once his duet with his dad was over (they said it would be the last song) I asked "Can I ask you something?" and he said "anything baby what's up" and I asked "can you and your dad help me down the steps?" and he said "sure baby we got ya covered". Turned out we left when we thought they were done and so only his dad and another 2 guys helped me. He's a natural flirt so I'm trying to not look too deep into anything he said to me even though I'm hoping there is something there. When I got home, I added him to Myspace and Facebook. He's only added me to myspace so far, and I left him a comment on myspace teasing him about the song he sang when I was already outside. Then he made a bulletin about the show they're doing on the 4th but I won't be here, so I replied telling him that and he replied to that and to my comment on his page but he replied to that within his message reply. He even called me Baby in it and promised to sing the song I missed next time I go see him perform.
What can I do to try to move this along if I have a chance? I don't think he's doing this as pity because of my wheelchair, he's not like that so I don't think I have to worry about that. But does he like me? What can I do to move things along?

RomanceClass.com Advice
First problem is that he has a girlfriend.

Do you want to try to steal him from her?

A good thing to do is to maintain your friendship as much as possible. This includes asking him out on a date "as friends." The more you get to know him the better your chances are.

Good luck! George
