who should I date confusion

A guy friend of my recently convinced me to break up with my boyfriend. Who is still in love with me, by the way. I have now started to date this guy friend but its not what i thought it would be. I liked him a lot more as "just a friend." I'm also missing my ex so much, he was my first love. But now I have my guy friend completly smitten with me and I'm afriad if I dump him that friendship we had will disapear, especially if I go back out with my ex. So, what should i do or say to let him down easy, and still keep a friendship?

No matter what, you will be risking his friendship.
Try telling him that you were persuaded by his suggestions that you dump your ex but then you discovered that your ex was your first and still a true love.
Maybe your new bf will understand that he played a role in making you change boyfriends and realize that he was partly to blame.
Be sure to tell him you still want to be friends.
