idk what to do

Theres this girl I love, and I've loved her as a friend like a sister but then she helped me get through some sh*t and I wanted to ask her but another friend of mine talked to her "for me" (whcih i didnt want to happen, but it did) and then the girl said that she loves me like i were her brother, but she couldnt picture us going out and if i ever asked her out, then shed say no and explain why. Now a few of my friends are telling me I should keep trying but idk what to do. As much as i like her, shes still my friend and I'd never want anything to change the way were close to each other.
Thanks in advance for the help...you guys always seem to give me the right advice

You need to talk with her directly.

Tell her your friendship is the most important thing but that you want her to know that you love her too and you want to hear from her lips how she feels.

You will probably get the same message but don't take the chance of acting on second-hand information.
