Is it my fault that he went with another girl?

me and this boy used to be really close. he used to hit me, tickle me, kiss me, talk to me, hug me, call me wifey, and all of that stuff,(but we were just friends) everybody said that we make the perfect couple and that we liked each other. this boy came and told me that my friend had liked me and wanted to go with me. i thought that the boy was lying so i told him that i didnt like my friend and that i didnt want to go with him( even though all of tahat wasnt true) then a month later my friend stop talkin to me, he even was avoiding me. i was wondering why he wasnt giving me any attention, come to find out he has a girl friend. i was so crushed. so is it my fault that he got another girl friend?

Maybe he heard what you said about him. That could have made him sad and set him off looking for another girl.
