He knows i like him, Why isn't he doing anything?

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
well. i've liked this guy for a while.
he's friends with my brother and is a senior.
i'm a sophomore
and i told him i liked him last year.
my freshman year.

before that, he would always say hi to me and my sister and like glance at me when "i wasn't looking"

but when i told him i liked him, on aim, he kept his distance.

we see each other occasionally.
and whenever we are at places together
he tends to come behind me and talks really loud.
he glances at me in the hall.
and sometimes lowers his head when i walk past him.
sometimes he looks at me.
i've imed him a few times, we've talked
but the conversations weren't long.
i seem to be the one making the first moves.

i've liked him for a while.
but i don't know whether or not i'm wasting my time.
a part of me tells me its not worth it.
but i really like him.

But, you are giving up hope because he seems indifferent.
