im in love with someone now who i wasnt in love with before..

There's this boy who is one of my closest friends at school. Two years ago he asked me out cause he liked me but the thing is is that i didnt share the same feelings he had for me then, i only liked him as a friend. I told him that i dont know and that i would think about it. I never really gave him a "yes" or "no" answer but i told my friends and im assuming thats how he found out. We never spoke about it it after that. But now, as we continue to hang out, im noticing that im begginning to like him as more than a friend. Its really sad because i didnt go out with him before and i regret it a lot..being that i kind of said no to him two years ago, he might not want to have a relationship with me now..and our friendship would also be really awkward if he said "no"..please help me..i dont know what to do..it would be well appreciated.

Tell him you are "developing feelings" for him.

Then wait and see what he says. It shouldn't affect your friendship since you didn't say anything definite that would upset him.

Maybe he will need time to think about it. If he does, give him a day or two to think about it and then ask him. Don't let it slide.
