If you can that would be very helpful to get her on your side.
Ask him out for dinner so that you can each learn what is happening in the others life. Or go for a walk, a picnic, or theater.
It has been seven months, you should also recognize that you two may never get back together again. It will be good for you and him both if you have this knowledge in your mind.
