i want my ex back

so my ex broke up with me last week after only dating me for about a month. he decided to go back to his ex girlfriend (but they're not official yet). i flipped out for the next few days, calling him constantly and crying. when i talked to him, he said that he still loved me. the next night i felt fine, and decided to not call him. i did in fact call him the next night because i wanted a few of my belongings back and left a very short message without saying "i love you" or "goodbye." he told one of our friends about it and he said that it sounded like i was over him. later that day the friend of ours told me that he said that he still loves me and he's really unhappy and just mopes around. if i still back off and just radiate happiness (which i have done while around him), do i still have a chance?

You only dated him for a month, and you broke up a week ago.
Almost anything can happen at this point since so little time has past.
Why not call him up and say you've heard that he still loves you. If he says yes ask him if he wants to get back together.
This approach should get a response out of him.
