Me and my best friend

Hi, Im 17 years old. I have known my best guy friend (who is 19) for almost two years. I really like him, I think he likes me too by the way he acts but I can't be sure. We tease each other all the time about being together. He tickles me, even puts his arm around me a lot, I have even seen him looking at me like he wants to kiss me. But this all might be part of our teasing/kidding relationship. I cant tell if he really wants to date or what. I feel if I say anything about my crush then it will make him feel weird if he doesnt like me that way and we wont be as close. I love our friendship and dont want to threaten that. I think if he does like me, he wont make the first move. What should I do?

When you have a close friend and you fall in love with them there is one good approach.

Tell them you are "starting to develop feelings" for them but you don't want to ruin your friendship. If they answer the same then all is ok. If they answer no then stay friends. If they aren't ready to answer tell them you will ask again soon. And do so the very next day. They will have been thinking of nothing else and should be ready to answer.
