complicated...Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
ok.. so my girlfriend of 2 years broke up with me the other day.. we had been going through some troubles lately because i am 3 hours away at college and she's still back in my hometown finishing her senior year.. she had been telling me that i wasn't happy anymore and that it was bringing her down.. but now when i'm acting happy she gets all hurt and feels as if i don't care.. i came back home this last weekend cause she had been sending me texts that said that she couldn't wait to see me and all.. but then when i get in town she blows me off and says i should hang out with one of my other friends... then when i do see her she's all over me and kisses me.. i've been trying to keep in touch with her but she never seems to want to talk to me and answers with "none of your business" at times which really ticks me off.. i'm just really confused and I don't know if I should give her space or keep calling(even though it seems like it won't help much).. I love her more than anything in the world and she says that she loves me back.. I don't see why we can't be together if that's the case... should i just give her space and give it time? She's going to the same college as me next year and we've always talked about how great it's gonna be.. or should i keep calling to show that i care and am always there for her? thanks!
Make sure she knows how much you love her and then give her the space she needs.
Ask her if you can call her once a week for 15 mins. just to see how she is doing. Tell her you miss her but don't dwell on your relationship. Tell her about the exciting things that are going on on campus so she is reminded of your plans to be together.
My guess is that she will soon miss you and come back.
I hope so! George
