He is totally ignoring me...isn't he?

There's a boy in my class. Just last year I got a long with him quite well. Especially in MSN, at school we sometimes talked. Once it appeared that our mothers know each other. And I get a long with his 2 cousins (girls) very well. To mention, he is quite popular, rich, good-looking (and knows this) and funny. Drives an expensive car. Mostly cares about outer beauty... witch is bad. But he is totally ignoring me. At school.. when I start a conversation (and I do that seldom), he smiles but doesn't look at me. Sometimes he just glances at me. But no more. Like yesterday. Me and my mom went to his house to his cousins birthday and he showed up only once. Glanced for a time and sayed hi. I no more saw him 'cause he left the house ASAP. I don't understand WHY is he ignoring me. Is it because I know his family and he is just afraid I may say something about him to his family.. or sth..
And there's something that attracts me about him.. Don't know what. I can't get him out of my head. Once I tried to ignore him too. That lead nowhere. He's kind of a party person too.
Especially lately I don't get a long with him at all.. it seems he's afraid of me. Even he's mom noticed that at the birthday.
What is wrong? What is it with him??

Sounds like he is a stuck-up arrogant guy who is only concerned about himself.
You have had no luck with him so my advice is to stop thinking about him and find someone new.
