I need help!!

Visitor's Question from a 41-50 year old Male
Over the past two years I have been having an affair with another married woman. During this time our spouses found out about the affair. We both tried to make our marriages work, but it wasn't long before we were seeing each other again. She got divorced and I am in the process of getting divorced. Her husband is really controlling over her. She's now telling me that we can't be together because she's affraid that her kids will not let her see her grand kids if they were to find out that we are together. She has two adult children and two in high school.

We both have strong feelings toward each other. We have been together for two years and we want to be together but her kids are keeping it from happening.

Is there anything I can do to get her to be with me?

Thanks

This is a tough one.

It would be a good thing for her to get the subject out on the table with her kids. She could ask them how would they feel if you two got together. And specifically whether she could still see the grandkids.

She might be pleasantly surprised.

On the other hand, maybe she should wait until the divorce is final before asking the question.

Good luck! George
