hello, I am a male in the 11th grade in high school. I have a problem. There's this girl that I've known for 3 years now and I really like her. I really want to go out with her, but she just recently started going out with another guy. I talked to her today for about an hour at the YMCA and I really felt a connection between us. She smiled a lot at me, and she even asked me for my cell phone number and I also got hers. I would have asked her out a long time ago but that was before I went on medicine and started going to a counselor for an anxiety disorder. I just don't know what to do. This is her last year in high school and I really want to get to know her better and date her. The way that we connect when we talk to each other is almost like we were made for each other. Please give me some advice.

Too bad your dream girl has a boyfriend. Since you have her cell phone #, you could ask her how serious she is about him because you are "developing feelings" for her.
She should be happy to let you know where you stand. If she says she is "stuck" on her boyfriend you might consider moving on. There are hundreds of girls in your town looking for b/f's.
