Dating a Co-Worker

I have been seeing a co-worker for about 2 1/2 months who has been labeled in the office as being with alot of women. We have seen each other on a few occasions at his apartment, but we have never been on an official date. We have had sex, on some of those visits. He tells me that he really likes me, and on occasions he will text me and tell me he loves me. But, i have not spoken to him in about two weeks and if I text or call him its always an excuse that he has family emergencies, or he just was going through a rough time.

I really like this gentleman, but I don't know whether to give him the time to himself, or take the hint that it was just sex?
