Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
Ok i have had this crush on this girl for a while (one and a half years) and i dont have any idea why since i never talk to her in or outside of school in person. Earlier this year we both were at a school dance when one of my friends asked her if she would dance with me, and she said she might if i asked her. I got up the guts to ask her ( im really shy) and she said yes so we slow danced. We were pretty far apart though, and she wouldnt look into my eyes she would just stare off into space. After that we still didnt talk in school (we have no classes together) and at the next dance the same thing happened except i got up the courage to ask her for one dance by myslef, and she said yes. After this dance my friend told me that she only was dancing with me because she was nice, which wrecked any confidence i had. The next few dances went well, and we began talking on AOL, but still not in person. One dance i decided to break the ice and say something, and i actually got a laugh out of her, but she still didnt look into my eyes after i talked to her. I asked all her friends who she liked, but they said it wasnt anybody. She definitely knows I like her too. Now all our school dances are over and its time for the summer, and im wondering if I should invite her to the movies as friends sometime to get to know eachother more, or should I just leave her alone because she was dancing with me because she was a "nice girl"? I also want to know what this "no eye contact" thing while we wre dancing was because it really bothers me.

Different people feel comfortable dancing while looking in the eyes and others don't. Don't worry about it.
Yes, you should definitely ask her out to the movies. She will probably say yes and your shouldn't try to guess why she is saying yes. She probably likes you by now.
