In love with my best friends boyfriend who is also my best friend as well.

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I have been friends with her and him for the same amount of time and we are all really close but I have always had feelings for him but she got to him first. He is exactly like me and we get along so well. But she plays with his head and talks about him to me behind her back. It's driving me crazy because he is sooo good to her and she's taking it for granted. I know i'm in love with him because I can't eat or sleep and he's all I think about even when I try to forget it, it just won't go away. I almost want to cry when I see them together because I know I could be what he wants her to be. What do I do? I don't want to lose them but I can't forget how I feel I didn't even ask for it. It's affecting my daily life and I want it back. Please help!!! Severely in love

RomanceClass.com Advice
This is not an easy problem to resolve and I'm sorry you are in it.

One solution, rather drastic, is to tell them both the truth and see what comes out of it. You may discover that you have lost both of their friendship.

Another solution is for you to swallow up your love for him and continue being friends -- pretty much the status quo.

Finally you could cut off your friendships entirely, perhaps explaining your decision by telling them of your conflict.

Professional counseling might do you some good. Think about it.

Good luck! George
