I need a little bit of help

Hey. I have submitted quite a few questions and I just want to say I love your advice because it comes from real people and it actually works. So on to my question. I finally got a boyfriend about a week ago and hes really sweet and all and i like him because hes talkative and he makes me laugh. But the problem is that he doesnt know how to be a boyfriend excally...How do I put this?...He doesnt know how to kiss very well and when we hold hands he gets stuff. I want to have a good relationship and not have to have sloppy kisses and I want to teach him but I dont know how to approach him about it. Please help me! I didn't understand what you said about holding hands, but you could also gently tell him what you prefer.
