anxiety and a special girl
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male hello, I am a 16 year old male and I met this girl last year during basketball season that I have almost fallen in love with. I really want to go out with her and get to know her better, but I have an anxiety problem that is holding me back. My anxiety problem just seemed to pop out of nowhere this year and makes it difficult for me to talk to people, even my relatives. I'm afraid I'll have problems talking to her and my anxiety problem will prevent us from getting close or even 'getting together'. I really need some advice because I really love this girl and she will be a senior next year, so this is the last chance I'll get before she goes off to college. Please help me if you can. Thanks.
RomanceClass.com Advice Contact her via the internet.
You shouldn't be so anxious when communicating online. Once you feel comfortable with her then is the time to ask her out to the movies or something.
You also need to get rid of your anxiety in general. Ask your parents if they could find a professional counselor to help you overcome this problem. It is important to deal with anxiety early before it becomes part of your character.
Good luck! George
