Complicated Best Friends Ex thingy

Hey, i really like this girl. But she is my best friends ex, so i thought ok, i'll ask him if he doesnt mind if i asked her out.

So i started to stear a convo we had towards the topic, and he confessed if he could go back in time, he would never have broken up with her, it was a sort of peer pressure thing, and he doesnt hang about with the folks anymore.

So... if he still likes her, what should i do? Should i ask him? or just i dunno live on?

Even though he said he still had some feelings for her that doesn't mean he would stand in your way.

And, he has his eyes out for other possibilities anyway.
