anxiety over a name

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
I was dating a nice young lady. She showed interest to me. I was developing feelings for her so we hooked up. I recieved an "8th grade field trip" from her while my roomate was in the room. I really thought something good was begining but then the akwardness began. She has the same last name as me and I find it very wierd to talk about her and hook up with her because of it. Is it normal to have anxiety about dating someone with the same last name. What should I do?!?!?!?! thankyou

If you feel awkward, it doesn't matter if it is normal or not.

My guess is that this doesn't happen often enough for their to be a "normal."

Just go with your feelings. If you are going to break it off with her, please have the consideration to explain to her why and that you are uncomfortable with the situation.
