How can I make my girlfriend more comfortable with PDA?

My girlfriend is still very shy when it comes to public displays of affection (PDA). She tries to avoid hugging or hand holding around her friends. How can I help her get over this?

Try to find something she is comfortable with.

Maybe she will be ok if you just put a finger on her shoulder, or put your knuckles together, or put your index finger together. Or touch legs.

If she isn't comfortable then you will need to get used to going without PDA. That's not the worst fate in the world.
