I have known this guy since 1st grade, and we are good friends. But when my friend told him I like him, things got strange. But it hasn't even been a week and he is wanting to spend time with me. And I was thinking of asking him on the last day of school if he likes me, but will that ruin our friendship? And when we talk he is shy.

Try to be a little more subtle.

Instead of asking him if he likes you, instead say to him that you are "developing feelings" for him and how does he feel about it.

And don't wait until the last day of school to do it. You will probably chicken out. So instead ask him the next chance you get.
