I dunno what to think

For a while, I thought this girl I like liked me. I've been taking some of the advice on this site, then I get this e-mail...

So now, what should I do? I told her I understand and I accept this, but now I don't know what to think. I guess I shoulda guessed I don't really have much of a chance. After all I did see her bein totally into some other guy at a dance. so, should I just lay low on everything now or what?
