Do you think he likes me back, or just as a friend?

I'm good friends with this guy. I really started becoming friends with him when we both went to Brazil on a missions trip. At that point, I was hoping I wouldn't fall for him, but I have. He was alwasy really talkative to me until all of a sudden he got really quiet around me. We have a lot of inside jokes, but he's the type of guy who has a lot of female friends so I don't know how genuine our friendship is. He helped me when my grandfather died. He was the only person I really trusted to talk to. I felt like he really cared for me but now he's quiet and only will look at me. Whenever I look at him and catch his eye, I smile and he smiles back without hesitation. I don't know if he just doesn't want to be around me anymore or if there's something else. I'm also afraid to tell him about me liking him because I'm afraid it will ruin our friendship.

Right now you don't have much of a friendship to kill.

My guess is that he likes you and has now turned shy on you.

Tell him you like him and you will probably be delighted to find that he likes you too. If you are afraid of scaring him off, just tell him that you are "deeveloping feelings" for him and ask him how he feels.
