Vonage $24.99 a month and 1 month free 125x125

does my bf still like me?

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
My boyfriend started being my boyfriend when he asked me if I liked him over IM. I said yes, and he basically said yes. Well... He said, "I don't not like you too." Which is of course a double negative. Then he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes. This will be a month ago this monday (February 27). I'm not sure that he likes me anymore though. First of all, he hasn't kissed me yet, not that he hasn't had plenty of oppertunities. Secondly, he argues about every little thing that I say. Not playful argueing, but I mean that I cannot say a single phrase without him poking at it. For example: we're talking on IM, I say I'll be back in a sec, when I get back he says, "You lied. That was more than a sec." And he does this with everything I say. I have to be careful to say exactly what I mean at all times. Also, he knows I'm a strong catholic, but he's always poking fun at religion. Like he said Jesus' death was pointless. I don't know if that means anything to you or to him, but it means something to me and he knows I take religion seriously. Am I being over expecting when I think he should refrain from saying things like that because he knows it really bothers me? Also, he never keeps his word. Just with small things, really. Like, "I promise I'll leave your hair alone." Then he takes his hand and flicks my hair straight up and all over the place. This isn't even cute couple stuff. He's just messing it up. And he has never kept one promise. He says he justs forgets he promised to do/not to do something, but shouldn't he take a promise at least a little more seriously? He promised to stop doing a list of about 5 things 2 weeks ago that I told him really bugged me, and he still does them all! I've continuosly reminded him! Also, he has never told me to my face that he liked me. He's said it sort of over IM (like the double negative) but he has not once told me to my face. Is that a bad sign?

RomanceClass.com Advice
I'll answer your last letter and this one together.

Your boyfriend is very, very immature. You are putting up with a lot of childish behavior and hurtful behavior. At one level he is just playing around, but at another level he is trying to control you. Like playing with your hair after you asked him many times to stop.

It's time to spell out the message to him: he has to start behaving properly or you are going to walk. Tell him again what is troubling you (including the fact that he has never said he likes you). You have given him numerous times to stop annoying you. This time put some teeth in the message.

If he refuses to get the message, he does not care enough for you to deserve your consideration.

Good luck! George
