I met this guy and we instantly "hit it off." We talk all the time and flirt often. Two weeks ago, we went to a bar with friends. He was all over me, hugging me and kissing me on the cheek. Later that night we kissed/made-out. Two days after that he just came out and said that he liked it a lot but he just couldn't have a girlfriend now (he is busy with 21 hrs of school and a fraternity). Even after that though, we still went on dates and he opened doors for me and he still hugs and kisses me on the cheek bye. His friend had asked me out on a date. He didn't tell me that I couldn't go but he seemed upset about the whole thing and so I didn't. I was just wondering, if you guys think he's just trying to take it slowly because he likes me or he just doesn't like me enough to be his gf...

He probably wants very much to be your b/f but recognizes he doesn't have time for it.

So you are a semi-g/f where he feels like you and he have a special relationship where you can date and be close but nothing official.

This would explain why he became upset when another guy asked you out.
