Make it clear that im no longer her doormat

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
Well it looks like i stayed friends with her. I never actually got to see her on sunday and she is busy v-day but it gave me more time to think.

I talked this over with myself about this situation. Well ive come up with this:

I will continue being her friend because she is still too good a friend to lose. I wont keep being her best friend though. i wont devote all my time off to being there for her. im gonna make myself scarce for a while too and start looking elsewhere and not see her for a while. I'll talk on the phone with her the odd time but that will be it for now. Also im gonna change my look a bit and my angle. This experience has taught me alot and i intend to use it to be a more appealing person.

Hopefully in a little while I wiil hook up with somebody else i like. if i havent hooked up with anybody and she she's me again and I chill with her at parties rather than just alone, maybe se might see me as something other than just a guy trying to be her friend. if i hook up with somebody else she can still be my friend anyway.

But i cant just keep looking out for her. There are other people out there to meet so im gonna see her as little as possible to make it clear that im no longer her doormat and start fishing for the other fish in the sea. Who knows maybe that might interest her in some way. To see me as something else at parties and not just the "nice guy" best friend.

thanks for your advice so far. LOL. thought you should know. so dont worry about the back log of emails. I didnt think youd ever get to it on time anyway. i wrote it on an impulse. somehow i dont think i could ever do anything to hurt her, cause losing me would hurt her for a while, even if i never got my shot. But at the same time ive got to keep moving on.

cya
