My ultimate concern is whether it's ok to marry her

I have been dating my girlfirend for over one year now. I think that I love her and want to marry her, but when I think about it, I get uneasy and anxious about it. She's always been sure she wants to marry me, so she is in essence waiting for me. We've taken a few breaks along the way and when we do, I miss her a lot. It's hard for me to picture life without her, so I told her that I want to marry her. Ever since I told her that, I am wondering if this if she really is the right one for me. I guess my ultimate concern is whether its ok to marry her and I'm just getting the jitters or if I really should break things off.

As conflicted as you are, you might want to consult a psychotherapist or minister to help you figure this out. You might also want to discuss this with your fiancee who has an equal stake in this as you.
